I only share reviews occasionally and never when they're scathing- plus I'm motivated by the coupon for $10 off my next ride for writing this review: Carmel is *very* easy to communicate with and they respond immediately. I was hesitant to spend almost twice what an Uber would have cost but it was worth it. Why? Because it's almost impossible to get an Uber/Lyft to commit to picking you up from the airport. With Uber/Lyft you'll get a ride confirmation, wait 10-20 minutes for your car to arrive, only to have it dump you for any customer that can help the driver net an additional dollar or two. After a long journey it was a relief to have a very professional driver pick me up and get me home safely and efficiently.
