I cannot even begin to express my frustration in trying to deal with this company. Their responses once an issue arose were completely unprofessional and not helpful in any matter. It seemed like they just genuinely did not care and were just greedy, trying to keep as much money as they could from me.
I ordered an evaluation from them (paid for a 3 day rush for a course by course evaluation along with Express shipping). It is clearly stated many times on their website that the only way to receive your original documents back by mail is by choosing the Express option. Which I did. And mind you, they charge you $40 for that, send it in an flat rate express envelope, which in reality only costs $25.50 thus they get to keep the difference as profit from each person they force to pay that price. You also can't tell me the nearest post office is so far away that the gas to get there is what else is included in that price or something ridiculous of the sort.
Anyway, they finished my evaluation within the 3 days which I appreciated and sent it to me with Express, although the issue was my original documents were not in the envelope, only my translations + evaluation.
Therefore, I contacted them about the issue over the phone and requested my originals please be sent to me. Over the phone I was assured they'd send my documents that day with Express. All good, hung up and went about my day.
I then received an update on my order by email which stated my documents would be sent using Priority instead. Priority with a flat rate envelope costs around $7, so basically they didn't want to cover the extra few dollars it'd cost them to send it correctly with Express after they made a mistake, and, instead, wanted to still pocket some sort of profit.
I proceeded to email them about the issue as follows: "Sorry yet another question, it says my originals will be mailed via Priority but it was my understanding that original documents should only be mailed via Express?"
I received the response "It have tracking number and it is ok for it. You can expect It soon. thanks".
This didn't answer anything so I replied with "Yet I was forced to pay for Express initially because your policy is that is the only way I can receive my original documents back. The price for Express was $40 at that, when in reality it only costs $25.50 using a flat rate envelope which is what I received my evaluation in. So why is it now fine to send them using Priority?
I paid all these extra fees because I need these documents in time for a deadline and with Priority I may not make it in time even though I did everything correctly. I really appreciate all the help until this point but I do not find this solution fair."
The final response I received was "It comes soon, please check the mail for it. thanks"
It wasn't even up for discussion with them. I was going to receive them with Priority whether I liked it or not basically.
Well the even better news now is that this occured on Sep 3. It's been 7 days now and my documents are lost in the void of the postal service system as there have been 0 updates about the actual location of my documents for the past 6 days. Better yet, I have a deadline that I needed these back by. Instead, I will have to somehow find $150 to get a new set from my institution and have them hopefully safely sent to me. Plus a year of wasted time of my life by missing this deadline.
Nobody seemed to care about this issue, so I've given up on calling and trying to figure anything out so thus this review.
Basically, if you've got any other options for getting an evaluation, please don't use this place. It's not worth the money, stress, and lost time.
