Updated Review! The ER staff is still not great. But the hospital, especially the pediatric floor and 5th floor post surgery, were absolutely amazing. Clean spotless rooms whole place is very clean and up to date. Nurses and staff great. This review was originally for the hospital, not for the ER. But I'm going mention the ER because it's HORRIBLE! An ER who has way more patients then it can possibly handle. Only forced to come here because Kaiser doesn't cover memorial north just a tiny drive away. There was an endless line of sick people, who were in pain, children (2) who were on oxygen and made to wait with the endless other sick souls. Seriously I felt like I was back in some LA City hospital. They need more rooms and more staff, 90 seconds do not cut it after waiting 4 hours. You wait for 3 hours and then once you get to a room you wait another hour for a student doctor, who then has her supervising doctor try and rush you out the door. If you don't stand up for yourself you will leave here in the same shape you came in. Took 3 trips before someone in the ER listened and admitted my daughter for a very serious illness. The hospital staff in the pediatric ward nurses doctors etc. were amazing, friendly, professional, and always there whenever was needed during my teenagers 5 day stay. Kemal (5th floor day nurse) was our favorite nurse and he really deserves recognition! He went above and beyond to make my teenager not only comfortable but always went out of his way to make sure she was in good spirits. So thank you very much! The neurologist who took on my teenagers case was also amazing and came to see her daily. And is still her provider now that she is at home.
Very spotlessly clean facility, easy parking and valet. Clean rooms and great views. Updated and modern facility. Loved the pediatrics floor made the stay easier with some small comforts.
