Maurice House or the Royal Painting Gallery or Mauritshuis.
It is housed in a not-so-magnificent-looking, beautiful inside, a classicist palace built in 1633-1644 for Johan Maurice van Nassau, governor of Brazil.
The collection began with the collection of William V Oranski, the gallery was opened in 1821. It contains masterpieces of Dutch and Flemish masters from the 15th-18th centuries, over 850 exhibits, including the beautiful "Girl with a Pearl" by Vermeer, the famous "Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Tulp" Rembrandt, nice, tiny Fabritius "Szczygie " and a joint work of Rubens and Jan Breughel the Elder "Adam and Eve in Paradise".
The building also houses a library (not available to visitors) and an education center. Here you can learn many interesting things, you can dress in Rembrandt's beret, put on a white ruff and a cape, pick up a palette and brush and for a moment feel like a great master .
Admission 15.50. With this ticket you can enter the Galerij Prins Willem V.
I was on Saturday morning, I watched in comfortable conditions.
