My review of my Widex Evoke 440 working with the Evoke App on an iPhone 8 Plus and with the iWatch 4.
I have used the Widex since June 2018 as a replacement for some excellent but aging (7 years) Phonak hearing aids. My provider has been Salem Audiology Clinic in Salem Oregon. Simply excellent support and service. I spent about $500 more than new Phonak appliances because the Widex has created a very user friendly App (through the Apple Products) that allow my personal input to revise the sound parameters and create individual sound environment locations to fit my personal hearing in those environments. While I did like the Phonak Aids, There was not an opportunity to customize to the degree that is possible with the Widex. I suspect it is the future for all Aid producers but this is such an excellent start. See the Widex Videos to understand the technology and the ease of app use. I have about 8 OTHER named sound environments I use in addition to those initially provided. I revise them as needed. The Phone is the most sophisticated part of the app. The watch is more to control what you created on the phone. I cannot emphasize how happy I am to be able to revise and "tweak" the settings at any time to better fit my hearing needs. This tool really works with minimal learning to have it be an optimal experience. Thank You Widex and Thank you Salem Audiology Clinic. Life IS better. Humbly submitted, Corky Lambert.
