I was told my policy would not auto renew after 6 ...

I was told my policy would not auto renew after 6 months. So I save money by switching and then got a bill for a new policy from gainsco. Called first thing to get this cancelled and their automated phone message says they open at 8am. Could not get through until after 9 am. So their information is wrong or they refuse to take calls until they have had their coffee. After I got through I was annoyed but calmly explained the situation and the woman disconnected the call while I was trying to get my information I needed to read off to her. Called back a second time and a different woman answered she either didnt want to deal with me or she was new. She told me to email the company a signed cancellation request and pictures of my new policy with progressive. I asked her to read the email to me twice and I read back to her what I wrote down to make sure it was correct. She hung up and the email that she gave me will not work. I tried typing it every way I could think of. It won't go through. Fake email or she had no idea what she was doing. Going to try and call a different day and hopefully get someone who knows what the heck they are doing. This is absurd and you shouldn't have to jump through hoops to cancel a policy that you didnt even ask for. Pay the extra money and use a different company.
