Kal Silverman Review of St.Francis Hotel

Stayed at the Saint Francis Westin in the beginning of October. The price was extremely high. Not unexpected due to the Sales Force Convention. The rooms were were not well kept as far as the walls, paint, and the largest issue was the door locks other than the key lock were no working.
Cracks in the door frame and splits were noticible. The manual lock which normally would attach to the door was not secured so that lock would not work and the door was was installed but the alignment prevented the dead bolt from wroking.
It appeared that someone broke down the door and the Hotel did a quick repair at the cost of safety and security.
The employees of the Hotel are friendly and respectful. But to pay such a price for night of a room lacking safety, two bulbs burnt out.
Overall the Lobby is classy, the rooms appear just like they did when the hotel was built and maybe over time a few coats of paint.
There are better value places in SF.
