Well run tourist destination. You can find local flavor if you look hard.

This pedestrian mall is one of Boston's top tourist attractions, but it can be tough to find actual local Boston flavor. There are some good restaurants and many national chains. With the completion of the Big Dig it's now an easy and pleasant walk to The North End (Boston's Little Italy), the Boston Aquarium, and the Rose Kennedy Greenway. One of the highlights of Faneuil hall are the many street performers busking. There are musicians, magicians, living statues, and other artists performing. There's also a BosTix booth to get discounted tickets to local Boston theatrical performances.
