My fiance had to be admitted here after an accident which caused her to be in ICU. While the staff here is okay in general, many not all, "nurses" in the ICU lack basic human dignity, respect or compassion. As a veteran I was staying with her bedside. I use a CPAP machine to breathe. They said it was not allowed, nor my medication, cell phone charger or tea. No American with disabilities act apply here. They told me to place all items in my bag. While dealing with my fiance it was worse. They acted like everything was a labored chore rather than doing their job with a conscious or any type of compassion. Robots. No soul or allowance for understanding. They did not utilize courtesy or a sense of well being in dealing with her needs. Everything they did lacked compassion. I wonder how would they treat their own family? Are people here that insensitive? Incredibly horrendous experience there. Truly the most demoralizing experience in all aspects of medical care.
I have visited many hospitals and have stayed in many. This place by far surpasses all combined in utter and complete failure.
Most people treat animals with better care. I'm shocked and disgusted at how rude and intolerant the staff here is. If this is how we define health care in our sociery nowadays, somebody needs to rewrite the game plan here. Fail.
