A Huge Disappointment.

A Huge Disappointment.
My wife and I stayed at the Summit two nights last weekend. I frankly expected more, from a "4 Star" hotel with a price to match, than we received.

Pros : The bed was comfortable, the shower was nice. There was a pool table which we enjoyed in the only comfortable room we found in the whole hotel.

Everything else :
Upon checking in, we went immediately to the room. There is a Keurig coffee maker in the room. Nice, but the coffee cups were coated with enough lint inside them that you could shake it out onto the floor. I didn't complain, just washed them out. The rest of the room was reasonably clean.

Most hotels offer a free breakfast of some sort. Not this place. Instead an "American Breakfast buffet" is provided but at an amazing $20 (plus tip and tax) per person! That's right, you can plan to spend $50 if you enjoy coffee and raisin bran in the morning. OK, so we decided to eat somewhere else.

The next day we went sightseeing, and left a "Please clean the room" tag on the door. When we returned to our 4-Star hotel that evening, we found that housekeeping had never even bothered to show up.

That was the third disappointment. I went down to the front desk and told them what I'd done with the dirty cups the day before, and how we had received ZERO housekeeping service during our two night stay. The response was, "We'll log it. Sorry about that. Would you like some clean cups?"

There was no attempt to try and make anything right.
I've stayed at discount motels where I've had better service than this, and for a lot less money.

This hotel was a huge disappointment, a real waste of money, and I hope this review will serve to dissuade anyone else considering it for a nice time away from home.

For the record, the is the only negative hotel reviews I've written in my entire life.
