The location is nice, right on the beach, that is ...

The location is nice, right on the beach, that is the biggest plus. The hotel can be best described as outdated overall but with some nice touches here and there. The breakfast buffet was a sufficient overall, nothing special, not bad (lactose/gluten free options, fruit, etc.) but not great (horrible coffee) either. A nice view over the beach makes it for a good start of the day. Staff was friendly, but mostly talked Russian to us, which with their guest population makes sense, but our Russian is non existent and their English was not that great either (with a few exceptions), which causes misunderstandings. Good to know: Parking at the hotel is free but space is limited.

The de luxe room did not convince us at all, it was small and the bathroom was at least 30 years old and should not even be in a 2 star hotel (and the sinks were seriously smelly). The furniture was scruffy, except for the bed, which was very comfortable and nice. The WiFi/internet did not work, connection could be made but loading a simple website was not possible. Overall this is not a 5 star hotel to be honest.
