Support your local businesses is cry often heard, in some satellite towns, competing with the draw of a big city. I would agree with the statement, with the proviso that, the offering has to be at least, as satisfactory as the competition.

Tonight I viewed a showing of the movie Eddie the Eagle. A pleasant way to spend two hours. The film itself was a stereotypical feel good movie, with the hero battling adversity.

However the real star, was the theatre. Fantastic screen, comfortable seats, and a sound system that made you feel that you were hurtling down a 90m Olympic ski jump.

Brian and his team have done an amazing job in converting this disused church into a thoroughly excellent multi purpose venue, that not only competes, but surpasses offerings further afield. For that, thank you.
