A friend and I went up in 1975 and had the ride of our life. We sailed out over the ocean, the pilot pivoted his wing as a 30 or 40 foot wave came rolling in and I caught a beautiful shot down the pipeline. We descended down to the beach, when we caught an air thermal and climbed back up where we made another pass out over the ocean. Well worth the experience.
