I used to brag about how wonderful this hospital was. Ever since the Amita merge, I tell people to possibly look elsewhere. Just tonight we had to bring our 4 yr old to the ER. She has had croup and woke up around 11:30pm with a horrible rash from her feet to her waist. We called her DR and they told us that they would feel safer to get the rash checked out right away. Ok, no problem, we got to the ER by 12:10am (The waiting room itself was empty, people came and went very quickly), we didn t see a nurse or Doctor until 2:30am! We showed the Doctor where the rash was, of course it cleared up for the most part by now, he prescribed a steroid for the croup and had mentioned that the steroid should help with whatever caused the rash as well, since I didn t see the rash I can t fully tell you what may have caused it. Well maybe if my 4 yr old was seen in a timely manner, the Doctor would have been able to do a better examination! Staff wise most were friendly. There was a woman at the check in who you could tell hated she was working. Other than that the staff was friendly just not aware of time sensitive situations.
