Hi everyone, I m so upset with the way my family and I were treated yesterday at Crystal Springs Family Waterpark. Yesterday we were at the kiddy pool, and to ride the slides you have to enter through the other end of the park. The first time my step mom rode down the slide with her 3 year old, and was quickly told adults were not allowed to go on the slides. Second time she let her daughter slide by herself but when her daughter landed, she started crying for her mom, my step mom got worried that she hurt herself and walked down a pavemented hill alongside the slide to get to her daughter. Once again the lifeguard blew the whistle at her multiple times, and at this point she said what am I supposed to do? My baby is crying and I m supposed to walk around to the entrance that s on the opposite end of the kiddy pool and leave her alone, she could have been hurt! This is a very unsafe layout on their part, so we left to go relax in the lazy river, as we approached the end, we were pulled out by four workers and a police officer, one of the workers told us we are to leave immediately because cursing at lifeguards is unacceptable. I was shocked. Apparently, the 15 year old life guard that blew the whistle at my step mom lied to his managers that we were cursing at him several times. My step mom was furious, she tried to explain to them what happened, but they would not even let her speak! And kept going on about how this is our last warning, cursing will not be tolerated, and we are not to be in perimeters next to the life guard who we verbally assaulted . This happened within 20 mins of us arriving, so the rest of the time spent there was ruined. We couldn t believe they would attack us like that with no evidence, and would take the word of two lifeguards, from which one who was not even there when it happened ! I understand conflicts happen, but to keep accusing someone of cursing, and threatening to kick us out, without asking what really happened first is beyond me. And to say the least, the lifeguard blew the whistle, and we left , so there was no actual conflict! Situation blown out of proportion. We felt attacked, and embarrassed by the scene they caused in front of many others. This experience was so traumatizing, that our kids are hesitant to visit any other water park! I have to now schedule therapy sessions, and will be speaking to a lawyer regarding this issue.
