A year ago I went to the hospital through the ER and was admitted for heart issues. In the ER the cardiologist that I saw suggested three things the enzymes which they do by labs and halter test which spends 24 hours monitoring your heart rate and a stress test. I was at the hospital for three days the only thing they did was labs. One of the things that the ER cardiologist mentioned to us was that it was very likely that I would have a major cardiac event within 30 days. But the hospital released me and did not give me a plan for aftercare and did not address any of the heart issues and for all my trouble I received a $16,000 bill.
One month later on vacation in Mexico I had another heart episode and my doctor who s been my doctor there for 15 years sent me to a cardiologist the cardiologist did a halter test and found that my heart was stopping several times throughout the night. He suggested that I not fly unless I have a pacemaker put in because if I had another episode and passed out again I could die within minutes.
So I agreed to have the emergency surgery in Mexico having a pacemaker put in. The hospital in Medford drop the ball. Above all they re only here to make money and I don t have insurance so they treated me like a poor person and didn t treat me at all.
