I understand that this Hyatt location is at the Convention Center and maybe they cater to more business travelers needs, this being said we will not be staying here again.

I chose this hotel for my 40th birthday as a treat for us to stay a night and have some fun. I asked for a king sized bed and walked into a room with two doubles, when I called the desk they were all apologies but didn't have a king room available for us. The clerk credited $20 to our room for this, which doesn't even cover one day of parking at this hotel ($28 to self park and $32 for valet)..... $20 really??? A manager of sorts called back shortly after this and again was all apologetic, but offered nothing more, I asked him if we could have more towels in the morning around 9 and he said "Of course". By 9:45 the next day there were no towels, only a maid knocking to clean our room, but she didn't speak enough English to give us a few of the stack of towels and she left for the next room.
I don't expect them to give away the farm for a mistake, but they really seemed to have the attitude of "well, we already have your money, so suck it up and make the best of it".

Overall I was not impressed, we did make the best of it because we were together, but we definitely wish we would have been together at a different hotel, or for that matter spent the money on a TV for the bedroom and chilled at home where we could have at least cuddled in one bed and ordered food to the house.

Speaking of ordering food; if you choose to order room services please read all the fine print, not only do they charge you $3 to DELIVER ROOM SERVICE (as if there was an option to go and get it yourself) but they include a 21% service charge that includes gratuity. They were nice enough to include the option to give your delivery person (that you were charged $3 for) an additional gratuity on the receipt. Really????

We took our 12 year old to an Embassy Suites and had a better time for her birthday than I did for mine, oh yes, for less than 1/3 of the cost. Lesson learned, we will not be making this mistake again.
