A beautiful place. I have not regretted the visit. The best thing to do is to buy a combination ticket for 20 euros, which you can use to visit the Archeological Museum. Many finds from the Knossos Palace can be seen in this museum, including also restored frescoes.

Some complain about Knossos as "very crowded". I was there from 12 noon to 1.30 p.m., could easily keep my distance from other tourists and even managed to take pictures without people in the background. So don't be afraid of huge crowds, at least in the Corona period.

Guided tours are offered at the entrance to Knossos (approx. 1.5 hours, 12 euros). You can also borrow a tablet for 15 euros, which enables an independent 3D tour. I didn't use any of these options and read signs in the palace. It was completely enough.
