On May 22nd, 2019 I went for my gender ultrasound and was informed that our little girl had quite a few problems. After going to see a specialist in Chattanooga where an amniocentesis was performed, we were informed our baby had Turner s syndrome. It was a very severe case and I was told I would lose her indefinitely before the 6th month. Because of her struggling and rapidly decreasing heartbeat, we made the decision to have a fetal anomaly abortion and we were referred to the Feminist Women s Health Center. Although this was the hardest decision I will ever have to make, I knew it was for the best. Yesterday I went to the center to begin the procedure and I cannot say enough how amazing all of the staff here was. The sympathy and understanding in everyone s voice put me at ease. The nurse Crista is honestly an angel and the doctor who performed the procedure was phenomenal. They will never know how much I appreciate the very difficult job they do everyday with a warm smile on their face. So to any woman who is facing what I have been through, do not hesitate at all to come to this center.
