Trivandrum International Airport, also called Trivandrum Airport (IATA: TRV; OACI: VOTV), is an international airport of Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of the Indian state Kerala. Located 7 km from Thiruvananthapuram city centre, 13 km from the beach of Kovalam, and around 20 km from the upcoming port Vizhinjam International Seaport. TRV Airport is the hub for Air India Express, but it also operates regularly with Air India, Jet Airways, SpiceJet and In7diGo. The city name in the local language Malayalam comes from thiru-anantha-puram, which means City of Lord Ananta .
