Julietta Voronkov Review of Five Palms Restaurant
If I could leave no stars I really would. I am not...
If I could leave no stars I really would. I am not the type to leave a review but my experience here was absolutely appalling. We came to celebrate the wedding of our good friends. While the service seemed nice at first it just went downhill. They set our party in the back corner with no fans or A/C. It was so hot I felt sick and they couldn t get the cold water to us fast enough. The restaurant wasn t busy at all but the waiter seemed too busy to give us any attention. We voiced our complaints about the heat and were told there was nothing to be done. This restaurant is in a hotel... was it that hard to go as for a fan? I guess so. The food was overcooked and very salty and really not worth the money. On top of that if you split a plate they charge you $7 even if they have to split it due to their order mistake. We had dropped off a cake earlier which was brought to the table. The waiter asked if the couple would like it cut. He failed to mention that such a simple thing would cost $50. Needless to say at this point all of us were over with the heat and this service. We were all polite, when it came time for the check the waiter did not ask if we would like it split and instead just assumed it could be on one. After we asked him to change that he made it seem like an inconvenience to him as he lectured us on why we should have asked. From this point he took probably another 30 minutes just to complete that one task. This was absolutely horrible. If it wasn t for the couple we all would have gotten up and left from the start. The lack of care and professionalism from both the manager and the waiter was the cherry on top. I will certainly never recommend this place to anyone or return to it.
