I have many reasons to profusely thank Miriam Khaliq. I just made some casual enquiries about the possibility of my being a British citizen, based on my father's birth in the UK. Neither me nor my father had a record of the birth for a combined 90 years between us, nor had we ever thought it might be possible such a record exists. He had lived in the UK till only 8 months of age. Thanks to Miriam's prodding, it took me less than 5 minutes to find the record! Let me add again, all this was part of a free enquiry. Later, if I plan to use it to apply for British citizenship, I'll definitely be retaining her for representation.
