Honestly I love netcare. I was nervous at first but if I needed anything all I needed was to ask. It s not a glorious place but the truth is they are trying to help as many people as possible with a wide range of issues. There our two sides of intake those that are very unstable will be put in a side with almost constant security, those whom are more stable will be put on the other side. They will also have an unidentified security person on that side. They aren t just there for your money, take it from one who has zero form of insurance and they charged me nothing and put me in there crisis stabilization unit where I could stay for up to 10 days. I was giving an outpatient counselor, case worker and psychologist to get the meds I needed.
The people in the crisis stabilization unit are wonderful people whom genuinely care about you and your well being.
If you need help this is a great place to go. It will not be a joy ride or a fun vacation because let s get real mental health is not a fun thing to deal with, it s scary, dark and hard. But I believe these people help very much, because honestly I did nothing to deserve there help but they gave it. At times they seemed uptight but I would be too if I never knew what kind of patient I was working with one whom was chill or one who was gonna try and hurt me. So be patient with them, and they will with you.
