My GMC truck was due for an oil change multi-point inspection so I went onto the Aransas Autoplex website to look for any "Specials" that they might be offering and I came across a coupon for an oil change and one for the multi-point inspection, so all looked good. I attempted to book an appointment online but was not able to. I was prompted to call in to make the appointment so, I called to make an appointment for an oil change and multi-point inspection on my GMC truck and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get in on the same day after work. When I arrived, I was greeted very cordially and informed the service manager of my oil change appointment. He quickly pulled out a placard showing me the three different ranges of oil change services and multi-point inspection that were offered. I mentioned to him that I had seen a coupon posted on the Aransas Autoplex website for $49.95. He countered with, "All we offer is what we have on this placard", $69.95 being the "Good" service and then it went up from there to the "Better" $89.95, and "Best", I can't remember that price, I know it was over $100.00 dollars. I again mentioned that there was a coupon offered on the website but he adamantly stated that there was NOT an offer on the website, again. I didn't want to argue so I went ahead and agreed with what he offered. I settled for the $69.95 service, which was what the coupons would have covered. Instead, I ended up paying $69.95 + tax, for the services. After all was said and done it cost me $74.60 for my oil change and multi-point inspection.
After I arrived back home, I got on my computer and went to the Aransas Autoplex website and found those coupons again and wrote down the info: DEXOS1 6-qt. Oil Change Coupon Code #204, and FREE multi-point inspection, Coupon Code #19.
I was terribly disappointed that the service manager didn't even take the time to check into my request for using a coupon that was offered on the Aransas Autoplex website. I was fortunate (NOT!) that I was able to use my GM Loyalty points I had accrued through the years of being a loyal and returning customer to Aransas Autoplex, that it saved me $20.00 from the total price.
It still bothers me today about what happened and that I had to use my points to lower the service cost but, I will continue to be a patron of your organization because you have been there for me all these years and I won't let one incident/individual like this keep me from enjoying your overall great service.
