My review is based solely on buisness practices and food quality. Our waiter was awesome and the restaurant was clean.

I'm a native to Jacksonville and I'm tired of watching awesome 5 star restaurants turn into subpar tourist traps once they get a few good ratings. Mojo's used to serve fantastic and plentiful portions. They have always been pricy but also worth that price. My last visit saw them go from 5 stars to 2 as they have turned from a great restaurant into a wanna-be sports bar.

For $18 I could get the chicken smokehouse platter and have enough food for at least 2+ meals. It was the size of 2 chicken breast with 4 pieces of bacon. It was a meal worth $18 based on quality and quantity.

Now you still pay $18 but get 1/2 the meal. The quality wasn't as bad as Mcdonald's but I'd put it right above Chili's with Orsay prices. The green beans tasted canned. The chicken was less tender, more gamey and dry; as though it had been frozen too long and the moisture was ripped from it. The salad tasted old, like I was eating what was left of a bad batch before they opened a fresh bag.

I went around 5:30-6pm on a Monday afternoon. These were lunch portions served at dinner time with dinner pricing.

It might just be this Mojos. I have been to all of them (this one a few times) and this is the first bad experience. It's also been a year or so since I've been here. This might be an isolated incident or the way they do buisbusi now. I'm willing to try another location but until then, buyer beware, you can get better food at Chili's or one of those national corporate chains sadly.
