The size of this place is incredible! There is a ton of decent architecture to walk to, in, and around.

However, one can definitely get lost or otherwise lose interest with such a lot of structures in various conditions to cover here.

It's also fairly difficult to get to. The Rome metro only takes one so far: either 1) to the Tiburtina station from where one can take a 3 train to a stop still a few miles away... or 2) to the Ponte Mammolo station from where one can take the regional 2+ Cotral bus to a stop at the end of Via Villa Adriano but still a substantial walk away- it took me 20 minutes with determined, brisk strides. I highly recommend figuring out how to take the even-more-regional 1 C.A.T. bus instead, as that line will eventually take you directly to the Villa. However, you probably need to find your way fairly close via metro and train before being able to purchase a C.A.T. ticket from a local vendor. I'm also not sure how frequently they run, or how reliable their service is.
