Great day out for all couples and families walk round the museum and then for a lovely ride up and down the valley behind a 15 inch guage steam locomotive sat in the open you can see the wildlife on the route and trace the history of the railway and the iron ore mines a walk into boot for a pint and a look at the mill and the old terminus walk on the old track and have something to eat in the railway cafe value for money in my opinion and there are offers on as well we got half price on Ullswater steamers to be taken anytime in the next 12months
