Unfortunately, I ve had to stay here over multiple Christmas holidays, due to family living nearby. The bottom line is that it s a poor hotel, pretending to be a Hilton. The level of service is pathetic, the facilities are basic and food is appalling. Christmas morning this year, it was impossible to get coffee with breakfast. Further, we were shunted into a temporary dining area one floor up, with half the available food and no waiter service for the first half of our meal. And a broken coffee machine. Staff cleared plates while we were attempting to eat from them and took cups before we had finished our drinks. Complaints to the manager did nothing and the service at the front desk actually disimproved - our card keys stopped working twice and each time, the staff implied it was my fault. No apologies for any shoddy aspect of our stay. The staff in this hotel imply that you re lucky to be here. I suggest they visit a few hotels internationally to see what real service is like. The entire place reflects very badly on the Hilton Hotel brand.
