This is an extraordinary place in the heart of Edinburgh. Right in the midst of the suburban sprawl, you are suddenly is the countryside with Arthur's Seat above you with peacocks crying. The house is magnificent, each room a complete joy. The food is amazing, the staff really friendly and helpful, and the toilets are worth a visit in themselves. As a hotel, the rooms are excellent and it is imho the best place to stay in Edinburgh
