This place is AMAZING!!!!! I learned so much about the history of going out into space and the "space war" with the Soviet Union back in the late 50 s and 60s. You have to take your time to read all of the plaques to get a total idea of what those men and women were striving for. It made everything feel unimaginable and exciting! The life size models that they had were incredible and really gave you a sense of how little space each human had in the Apollo missions and the size of the Spacecraft used. There was so much to look at that it would literally take you days to see all of it and to comprehend all the knowledge and history that was presented there. When we were in the rocket building, someone told us to look for people in white coats. They are people that are directly involved with NASA in one way or another and are a wealth of information and proud of the knowledge and experiences they had! There is also a "Space Camp" held there for young children. I'm not sure what age but they looked like they were in grade school to middle school age kids who were running around like a pack of wild animals (a little overwhelming if you don't like kid crowds)! Lol There were add-ons to the basic entry ticket which was $25 per adult. The add-ons included virtual reality missions, different experience rides, a very large astronomy dome presentation, and other things as well. It was all handicap accessible via ramps to ALL buildings and you could have a wheelchair for free by leaving your driver's license for collateral or you could rent an electric scooter for $25 to use while you were there. It is a BUSY place! So if you don't like crowds of people, this isn't the place for you. My favorite was the life-size replicas inside the buildings and outside as well!! There was even a Blackbird fighter jet that can be seen from the highway and a life-size rocket used in the many Apollo missions! Parking is free. The place closes at 5 pm. We got there at 2 pm and couldn't make it through all of the buildings and what they had to offer. I say it was well worth the $25 a person! Enjoy!!!!
