Beautiful surroundings, unfortunately, service is mediocre at best. I went to FFCW for lunch and a wine tasting recently. I understand that many restaurants are learning how to operate in this new norm that we live in, however, our server was either having a rough day or was definitely not prepared to be back at work again. Once she took our order we barely saw her again. We had other servers walking by and noticing the pile of dishes on our table and removing them to help her out. And, at one point, we had to chase her down to place a drink order (due to safety measures the restaurant was not even close to capacity). The food was also mediocre. Not to mention the staff was all on very different pages and told us very different things throughout the day. We arrived for our second wine tasting that day (we made a reservation for 2 separate tastings) only to be told we could only have 1 tasting per day. No one throughout the entire day told us that customers could only have 1 tasting a day and every staff member told us to actually enjoy our 2nd tasting. When we were turned away for a second tasting it was embarrassing, to say the least. I am happy I was able to check out this vineyard that I have heard so much about but unfortunately, I will not be returning and I highly recommend for others to seek out an alternate vineyard. There are a ton of awesome vineyards with impeccable service and food that allow you to enjoy all of their wines and relax on their grounds. Unfortunately, FFCW is not one of them.
