We are here for an engagement party and as soon as we pull up from the airport protestors are outside the hotel .. I figure it must be politics or environment because I went to Cal and know the area, but the reason came much more close to our temporary home than hypothesized! 2700 people, exclusively employed by the 6 Marriotts throughout SF, are standing outside each of their places of work banging on signs and yelling into loudspeakers 24/7 (was up over half the night because of the noise). The employees at the hotel are not being paid fairly and are given multiple job assignments ontop of the one they are hired for apparently. Protestors are pulling marriott customers to the side to recant the tale of what working for this hotel has been like. They are truly motivated! something is absolutely awry! ON TOP of this, (and this is the stickler as a customer at this time) typical upper scale hotel amenities (such as room service and room cleaning) have been HALTED COMPLETELY! Our room hasn t been touched 2 days! No fresh towels, no garbage taken, no complimentary breakfast that I paid extra to receive! I thought to myself after the first day that Marriott would not let another day go by without resolving the conflict but I was wrong. Employees continue to play police sirens through loud speakers day and night specifically trying to make customers walk out and it is working! I cannot find another room in the city! But this part only strengthens the protestors argument... MARRIOT HAS NOT OFFERED ME COMPENSATION FOR THE PACKAGE I PAID FOR THOUGH I WENT DOWN AND SPOKE TO THE FRONT DESK! $150 paid for complimentary breakfast is in the toilet for me. I m so hungry right now I could eat a $2 hot dog that s available outside and I m a vegan. I m DoorDashing food to a hotel! I will never stay at a Marriott in SF again!
