My son was treated there for years, and i thought, we had a good relationship with inpatient imu pediatric teams. That changed, following ONE pediatrician who took it upon herself, to try and block care my son needed, and put in his record, which i have a copy of, that treating him is a waste of her time, and hospital resources and attempted to prevent other physicians from treating his condition aswell. We quickly discharged, with the help of his outpatient team, and will not take him.back for future admissions, for fear that she will try again. She was reported, but that usually doesnt mean much. His outpatient team.there is great, and we will continue seeing them. Admissions will only be at tch from now on....for his protection. If your in the business of treating children, especially children with complex, chronic conditions, your pediatric attendings and fellows need to work on their bedside manner and compassion for a child in pain.
