We did the Dharavi tour and the street food tour. Guides are friendly, knowledgeable and overall great. No food poisoning from the street food tour, not even for those among us who have delicate stomachs! The food is AMAZING. Get the pistachio kulfi. Eat everything, but not too much at first as the food tour is packed with food, and you don't want to lose your appetite for the later stuff. Buy a leather wallet or bag at the Dharavi leather store. We bought wallets and a water buffalo leather women's bag -- a steal for quality leather. Everyone is happy with the purchases.

This is the best way to see "the real Mumbai". Wear sneakers, no open-toed sandals as you'll step on/into random stuff (I stepped on a mouse, oops). Women should wear capris or pants and loose-fitting tops for their own comfort as people will stare. Nothing to get testy about, as the streets are totally safe anyway. No one bothers you and the guides pay great attention to everyone's well being. 100% recommend to everyone! Good for older children too who can keep up with the crazy pace of the city. Don't forget to tip your guide generously! They don't ask you to but don't be a jerk, it costs you almost nothing.

Also -- this organization is legit. One of our guides was in-training. He was educated through one of Reality Gives' (Reality Tours' nonprofit organization) community/youth empowerment centers, where he learned English, etc. before he began working for Reality Tours. And he was instilled with a bunch of ambition to study further and go to university. Talk about a real success story.
