I have been staying at this hotel for years. We celebrated anniversaries and birthdays at the Omni Berkshire. We ve also stayed at many other locations around the country because we trust the safety and convenience of Omni. For this trip I planned a surprise vacation for my husband and I was beyond excited to come back to this hotel. Upon checking in I was advised that there was a $100 hold to be placed my card for incidentals, I did know this as I had called the hotel ahead of time to get the exact total. While waiting for the room to be ready my husband and I went to grab lunch, at which time I checked my account and I was in fact charged $300 instead. When my husband checked with the hotel he was met with a it is what it is response and call your bank instruction. The manager did apologize for the lack of information given when we checked in but nothing would be done. I am very sad and very upset at this experience and I will say we sadly won t be back. I can t understand treating a customer this way.
