We signed up with ADT and we were sold a bunch of lies. The rep, Erin, told us that the camera was 1080p etc. etc. When the tech showed up to install, he had the wrong products on his order and we were heard the rep call ya liars because the tech had him on speaker.

The camera was absolutely horrible and it never worked, the keypad kept putting out this terrible humming noise, the contact points didn t work properly.

So we called and they came out to fix it and they told us our internet was the issue yet we could prove the strength that was fantastic by the door bell. They replaced it and left. Every 2 weeks it would break and we would have to call and get someone to fix the faulty products.

Finally, we had enough and tried to cancel. We got told that we could not cancel and if we did, we would have to pay $800 CAD. I was stunned!

We have called at least 15 times and we have apparently cancelled 3 times but they just send me emails and then never actually cancel.

I ve never been held hostage as a consumer until now.
