Much less impressive in person. This hotel s strongest asset is it s incredible location (it s practically on the Venice boardwalk). Likely a very convenient stay for surfers or beachgoers looking to stay close to the shore, and probably only briefly in the area. Overall it s an overpriced option during the pandemic, and would still be a hard sell even after CA re-opens.

The room I was put in was underwhelming despite having booked a higher end option. The floor is entirely tile with a rather mediocre design. It felt entirely lackluster for what I paid. The only redeeming quality was the outdoor balcony which is not as private as the hotel claims. You can also hear quite a bit through the neighboring room walls, as well as through the ceiling.

The room also has, very unfortunately, lamps and nightlights scattered about that cast a significant amount of light into the room (I had to unplug my lamps completely at night). This, along with the thin walls, more or less ruined my sleep while I was there.

Unsurprisingly there were essentially no open amenities at the hotel (due to coronavirus), which isn t their fault but did of course further detract from the experience as well.

I would not recommend staying here unless you re planning on surfing and need the convenience of being on the beach, and you have a heavy wallet. There are much better options that are more affordable albeit a bit further from the beach.
