Car Parking fine, Today I went to my local ASDA (Ashford Kent). I spoke to the parking attendant to ensure that as I had no change (I nearly always pay using my debit card) The car park was pretty empty but the store was busy. I went through the till at 11:30:48 seconds as I approached my car the parking attendant was in the process of issuing a parking ticket. This is absolutely ridiculous, the guy knew that I had gone directly into the store, he was at the entrance when I spoke to him and so would have been aware of my location.

Given that I can equally chose to drive to Tesco (which has free parking and is the same distance) it's a no brainer that I will no longer support ASDA. Having called your "customer service" line I was met by a very snotty and unhelpful agent called "Shane". He was rude and patronising, ironically I manage a customer support team and if any of my agents spoke to a customer in the manner I experienced a development plan would be in place.

I've shopped in ASDA virtually every day since it opened, but sadly today will be the last time. It isn't the principle of paying the fee, but the hard nosed, unhelpful approach I've experienced today. I do intend to raise awareness of this situation via the local press and if needs be at national level, but as "Shane" advised me.. they won't be interested, you're wasting your time....Well I guess that's a challenge to be addressed. Customers vote with their feet and I will do my utmost to ensure that family, friends, business associates and anyone I can speak to will be encouraged to avoid your stores. Very disgusted.
