Do not stay here until the construction is finishe...

Do not stay here until the construction is finished. They're remodeling an entire building right in the middle of the resort. Our room overlooked the construction and then we went down to the pool for lunch and stared into a bunch of construction debris with a temporary fence and jackhammers going Non-Stop. The resort offered to waive some fees and knock down our bill but the room rate is still just as much or more as other resorts, so they're not even discounting for the construction going on. We got our money back and went to the Hilton Waikoloa Village. If the room rate were $200 or $300 a night and you knew about the construction in advance I'd say go for it but not many people come all the way to Hawaii to sit in a construction zone on their vacation. The main reason for my one star is that the resort let us go without a parting Gift of some sort as an apology, I thought that was pretty tasteless after we traveled all this way to then have to change resorts.
