We've visited Bangkok 15 times over the last 15 years, so when it comes to Thai food, we're picky. Surin serves up authentic flavors (though the heat levels have been adjusted for Southern palettes, of course). My gai pad prik (spicy chicken with chopped peppers and basil) hit all the right notes, while Clyde's Thai barbecue chicken was moist and tender. Monday nights you get half-price appetizers, so if you're budget conscious, order the nom sod (ground pork and spices) for half price, snag a bowl of tom yum gai (spicy chicken soup), and you've got a meal for next to nothing. Recommended.
