Dr Rubenstein is very good. They worked with me when I didn't have enough for all the tests done. In the past, my late, great, Skratchy Katt was short more than a few teeth and the Dr offered to charge me half of the fee because he only had "half his teeth" as he correctly started. Didn't end up doing the surgery but I never forgot that. It's rare. I'm on a fixed income (for now) so they're a tiny bit pricy, but I know it's much cheaper than a private vet. The safety net vet van is less expensive but they've seen my baby twice and the same vet missed a heart murmur that Dr Rubenstein caught during a basic exam. Twice! Now I'll get him an ECG... This week... and pray/ask/beg the powers that be to protect him/us. Poor Hopalong.... He's going through puberty now (8 mo old male) and he's so confused! Can't put him under to fix him yet; after the ECG. I recommend the HSNY to any pet parents. It's great to support a no kill zone!
