Horrible service and very condescending attitude from the lead in the emergency room.

I understood that this facility has an Emergency room; however, when I called and explained my situation, I was told that the emergency room can treat my non-emergency acute illness as they have a fast track ward to accommodate for this in which they will not bill my insurance for an Emergency room visit.

After the visit, the financial officer upon checkout said...oh, we are to collect on the emergency room service since we billed your insurance this way. So my co-pay is higher than should be.

I was misled - I will pay the fee; however, please be aware as this hospital is misleading and when I approached the team lead, the person was very condescending saying that it was my fault and was becoming quite combative with me, instead of hearing my situation and talking to those that misled me.There is no integrity at this hospital - but why should they have any? The hospitals in this country are backed by capitalism and they are only in it to make more money for themselves - even though they say they wish to help the patient out. But at the end of the day, whatever they can do to increase their profit, they will do so at the cost of the poor patients. We dont see this too much since its our insurance that gets billed these exorbitant fees.
