This is a very quiet place with very few tourists but it's fascinating to visit.
The ruins are not in the best condition and you'll have to use your imagination. But this empire had such an impact on the history of civilisation, it's interesting to see it for yourself.
Although you could do this as a day trip from various places, the town is a nice and quaint and a pleasant place to relax for the evening if you don't want to rush on to your next destination.
Access to the museum is included with the entrance fee to the site.
