We scheduled service for Monday 6/17/2019, My wife and I both work at busy jobs, and I scheduled online as or AC unit started throwing the breaker on the main breaker box over the weekend.
Background, yes, older unit, yes we keep it cold bc that's what we do. Anyway, we had arranged for our grown daughter to stay home until lunch so the service man could come during the scheduled time of 8-10am. This of course DIDN'T happen - of course. Voice mail that I got after the fact bc I work in hospital with very spotty service and can't take calls - we just won't come since we couldn't reach you.....Ok, I'll give you this because I realized they don't want to waste their time,. However, with almost 500 perfect reviews, I was thinking that someone would have at least done a drive by. NOPE! LOL! What was I thinking? I reschedule easily for next day, so you earned A star; that means one. Let's see if we can find a way to give another like in grade school.
Now, back to the online request for service; I told them the problem and requested that the unit be serviced while the technician was here. Heck, since I'm having them out I might as well have the coils cleaned so I won't have to do so in future - RIGHT? Ok, peps, don' t put too much thought into it. The service tech called my wife at work as she is easier to get in touch with when working. He told her that the unit and furnace are old and need to be replaced. Thanks, we know that they are OLD. Stated that there was nothing wrong with unit - holding coolant, fan works, etc...... Stated that when it's really hot out, and the unit has to work too hard, the breaker may get thrown. THX, youtube told me the same thing; however, just wanted to make sure my house wasn't going to catch a fire bc my internet search also said that if it keeps tripping, there may be bigger problem.
Furthermore, since it's old, the coils are bent, and everything works fine, it won't do any good to service it even though you requested this. I have NEVER had an HVC business refuse to service a unit. NOW i'll have to schedule and pay for another service company to come out and service the unit. Company's don't want you to waste their time and are quick to bill. Maybe I should bill for my and my wife's time and inconvience.?!.?
Anyway, you 500 keep on using them and writing great reviews - I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
