Not up to legendary Galt House quality and standar...
Not up to legendary Galt House quality and standards. I had many, many challenges during my recent 3 night stay, which won't allow me to rate over a 2.7 - 3.0 stars, which breaks my heart. I have stayed there many times when coordinating conferences, banquets, meetings and during WorldFest.
1. Several MAJOR room debacles for members in my group.
2. My stay was not super pleasant. Spent most of my time trying to get things fixed.
3. Most staff, not all, were not very welcoming, pleasant, professional and appeared under trained.
4. Renovations are nice, but don't appear to be well thought out with space utilization and some areas look cheapened. Bedding was low quality sheets, etc. Not very comforting.
** Restaurant staff superb. **Food quality, very good.
CARLOS from Cuba, in house keeping was my saving grace and the House keeping supervisor, Juanita, as well. She said this was the route to commend Carlos to upper management for recognition.****I want to give them both 5+ star rating.
I'm very understand of effects of COVID-19 and staffing issues, and I was very patient and respectful with staff, knowing they were doing all they could.
I'm trusting quality and standards will rise to what we expect and have become accustomed to....In due time.....at least 4 stars. It will be sad for it not too
