In 2013 I rebuilt my home after loosing it in the 2011 Texas wildfires. This is a custom home with 30 windows ranging from 8' to 18''. I started to notice that my windows always looked dirty and cloudy. The reason was I had purchased a defective batch of AMSCO windows the gas inside the widows was bad. 44 pieces total, all in all about 85% of the glass was defective. David Allen an AMSCO rep came to my house and confirmed the defective glass. AMSCO is not willing to take any responsibility for replacing the glass they will only provide replacement glass under warranty. This leaves me with a total cost of $ 7,300 to pay for having my defective glass replaced!!If I were to rate the quality of the windows excluding the fact that they were mostly defective I would rate them a 6 out of 10 mostly for the difficulty of opening and closing them. I would not recommend these windows to anyone and will not be giving AMSCO any more of my business.
