My poor grandma had to go to the hospital over a UTI. Shes 80 and UTI's take a terrible toll on her, she becomes extremely weak and is unable to stand at all. Im so pissed at the care she got! My grandma isn't any better. They sent her home hallucinating (worse than normal because of the uti) and cant even stand. Shes been to this hospital several times with a UTI and she was never once discharged in this condition. She is not well enough to come home. She has no clue what is going on, its almost 8 pm and thinks its time for breakfast.. The infection is not under control, honestly she is acting worse than when we took her there. Now here's to her nurse travis, who works morning shift. You lucked out buddy i would not have bit my tongue like my family did. If you don't care about your patients go find another job. Don't ever tell someones family that because their loved one is on hospice their care isnt much of a priority. That's crap. My grandmother is a stroke survivor and Travis she does NOT deserve to pass away over a infection that is 100 percent treatable. Just because someone is on hospice doesn't mean you neglect that persons needs!!!!! ONLY reasons our family decided to switch her over to hospice is because She decided to keep her catheter. she didn't want to feel humiliated. She doesn't want to smell like urine. She doesn't want to be wet or feel like a burden because she needed assistance to use the restroom and have help washing up and changing her clothes. My grandmother is not on het deathbed so don't treat her like she is.
