Short version:

Short version:
Slow service, middling quality food, moderately high price. Acceptable if they deliver it to you and 50 friends, disappointing for table service at this price.

Long version:
Dropped in for lunch at around 2pm. The menu is huge, page after page of things to choose from. That made me wonder if they could do a good job making all that stuff fresh. My impression is that this is a kitchen that leaves no corner uncut.

It wasn't busy when I was there, but the service was quite slow.

I ordered a small sloppy joe sandwich and a bowl of goulash, with tiramisu for dessert.

The goulash was somewhat bland and very overcooked; a beef-broth flavored mush with grainy, mushy potato lumps. It tasted to me like canned soup that's been sitting around hot for a long time. If it's made fresh on-site, they should reconsider the recipe.

The sloppy joe was not bad. It was on a very small bun, about 2 inches across, with a generous quantity of meat overflowing the bun. Nice presentation, good balance of bread to filling. The plate was garnished with a sprinkle of canned dried herb that I didn't try to identify. If the bun was made there then the bakery is pretty good, it was exactly like a good-quality item you could buy at the grocery store. The sloppy joe sauce was also exactly like what you could buy at the grocery store. Identical, I'd wager. The resulting sandwich was almost precisely what I make at home. Except this one had clearly been sitting around for a while before they served it. Freshly-served sloppy joe filling has a shiny, wet surface. This had an unappealing matte, dried out appearance and was fairly cool. It's a good sandwich, but I don't go to what appears to be an up-scale establishment for home cookin'.

The tiramisu was enormous, about double the size of a normal serving. It was very good. If you get a dessert, I recommend planning on sharing with a friend or taking half of it home. Or, it's an entree sized item, so maybe just skip lunch and eat the whole thing.

At half the price I'd call this a good value. Not planning on returning.
