I gave Baylor Clinic three stars out of five because of the following. My last visit with Baylor was just fine the MRI technicians performed a professional job and I was in and out in no time at all.
But having typed the above in 2015 and 2017 I had two left hip surgeries through Baylor St. Luke s hospital in Houston Texas. It was a horrifically terrible experience. The clinics weren t ready for EKGs, I didn t have service is all at one Clinic had to go all over town and then was really treated poorly by one of the Baylor doctors because my hip surgeon had put through an emergency or urgent appointment for surgery.
This Baylor physician literally yelled at me and berated me for not planning this appointment weeks ahead. Once again I didn t set the appointment up, The Baylor orthopedic surgeons office set the appointment.
When I asked for a copy of my EKG from the Baylor GP he withheld it from me and ask why I wanted a copy of it. I wanted to copy the EKG for my own records because I m a medical professional
What was worse was the replacement surgery which they call a revision, on my left hip. I went into St. Luke s add 6:30 in the morning and didn t have surgery that evening till almost 5:00 PM because hospital could not find a device to remove my original hip device.
By this late time the surgeon was literally exhausted and was getting ready to do the surgery at 5:30 PM in the evening after he probably had been up since 5:00 AM that morning.
Unfortunately the reason for the revision is because the original surgery that was done on my left hip in 2015 was not done very well by the same surgeon and I know hospitals and clinics offer up excuses but the problem was it was just a botched job. I ve already had one right hip replacement Kelsey Seybold in 2014 and it went without issue.
In 2018 I return to Kelsey Seybold clinic no longer having to go to Baylor Clinics due to insurance coverage change and had a third left hip surgery by Kelsey Seybold surgeon and they were able to fix my left hip and repair the damage that was done by the previous two left hip surgeries.
So my experience with Baylor and Baylor doctors has been terrible. I m not including the nurses, lab help or x-ray technicians, those folks are great.
