Having hired this firm to transport my car and household belongings to Israel, I made the serious error of not doing prior research into their reputation and track record of performance.
Needless to say, I paid dearly for my mistake.
The company and Ron Eliasi have a prior record of cheating customers and brokers. In fact, based on his reputation in Israel, my shipment was diverted through three different brokers hands in Israel as none would clear the goods without a prepayment. It appears that they all had prior bad experiences. Needless to say, his money was not forthcoming to anyone, so my shipment was stuck in limbo, all the while incurring storage fees. In fact, the shipping line would not initially release the container as Ron or his counterpart had not met prior financial obligations to them. This led to an additional delay and penalty of about $1,500.
I have now commenced legal action to recoup my losses of about $5,000.
It seems that despite Ron s admission of misappropriation of funds to my lawyer, he has refused to refund the money he owes.
Ron is a friendly, smooth talking liar and embezzler who lacks character. I paid for cargo insurance, and I still have no proof that he took it out. Luckily, there were no damages or losses.He is still refusing to pay for the Israeli expenses which, at his insistence, I prepaid for the clearing my shipment once it reached Israel.
I incurred incredible delays and inconveniences. I was fortunate to have the resources to directly pay the local brokers or else I would still be waiting for my cargo and racking up additional storage charges. I could go on about his fabricated stories and lies, but to what purpose. This is just to give you ample warning to steer clear of this trap.
